The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport is the coordinator of the Project Women in Canoe Sport and the organizer of the research here at the World Cup in Prague - Troja. Women in general have been and are neglected in sport research. The approach to women's training is often based on male role models without taking into consideration the specifics that need to be respected in their training.
The aim of this research is to better understand selected performance assumptions. We perform anthropometric measurements, somatotyping, body composition analysis, and a basic examination of strength abilities through a maximal handgrip test. We also ask all female athletes to complete questionnaires regarding nutrition, supplementation, training and menstrual cycle.
The research is carried out by young female researchers. The aim of the project is not only to support female athletes, but also female scientists and coaches.
The completed questionnaires will not be published anywhere, the data will only be published in peer-reviewed scientific journals in a form from which it will notbe possible to identify a specific female athlete. The questionnaires are anonymous, all data from them is anonymized.
On the following pages you will find the questionnaires. The ideal procedure is to fill in the questionnaires and then come and get measured in the boathouse area, above the restaurant (accreditations). Each participant will receive gifts associated with the Women in Canoe Sport project and nutritional supplements for participating in the research.
